Gout is a kind of arthritis that caused due to the deposition of excess uric acid in the joints. Usually it affects the cooler extremities part of the body like toes or feet. Gout is the result of excess purines, saturated fats and insufficient fiber in the diet.
What diet we need to follow for beating Gout?
Avoid foods that are very high purines: Foods like alcohol, beer, organ meat like brains, liver, kidney, sweetbread, yeast, game meats, sardines, herring, scallops and mackeral
Moderate intake of foods that are high in purines:
Some foods that are high in purine but you can take in moderate are fruits, vegetables like cauliflower, peas, spinach and musrooms are rich in purines, tea, coffee and carbonate beverages. They are not that risky for gout patients.
Reduce saturated fats in your diet:
Well nutritional balance diet is always good for any diet. Reduce saturated fats intake in your diet by giving proper nutritional balance diet. It helps your body to check your high cholesterol level and weight.
Foods that are good for Gout diet:
- You can eat foods like brown rice, pasta, broccoli and blackberries.
- Instead of saturated fats, go for unsaturated fats which you can received from olive oil, nuts, avocados.
- Foods high in Bromelain and Vitamin C such as strawberries, cabbage, kiwi fruit,bell peppers, oranges and tangerines.
Basics for Gout Diet:
Drink enough water to prevent from gout attacks, It helps to dilute your urinary uric acid.
Drink atleast 2-3 litres of water per day.
