About GM Diet:
The GM Diet was proposed and developed especially for the General Motors Inc. Employees. It is basically meant for their exclusive use. The diet was made with the help of U.S. Agricultural Department and the Food and Drug Administration. It was tested at John Hopkins Research Centre. It was then proposed to the company on August 15, 1985.
From the program, you can loose around 10-17 lbs. It also cleanses and removes toxins from your body. The diet has no side-effects.
The GM Diet:
Day # 1
The first day start with fruits consumption. Eat all fruits except bananas. It is recommended that you stress most on melons. You can easily loose around 3 lbs in a day if you stick to melons.
Day # 2
The second starts with vegetable intake. All the vegetables are recommended. Eat vegetables till you are stuffed with vegetables of your choice. For breakfast, you can eat a large baked potato. It helps you in building up complex carbohydrates. You can also eat the potato with a small amount of butter on it.
Day # 3
For the third day, eat as much as fruits and vegetables you can. Don’t eat bananas. No potatoes today either.
Day # 4
You start eating bananas on day four. It has to be combined with milk. Eat around 8 bananas and drink 3 glasses of milk. This has to be taken with a special soup*. The soup has to be taken in small quantities.
Day # 5
The fifth day of the GM Diet is called feast day. You can feed on beef and tomatoes. Eat around two 10 oz. of lean beef. Hamburger is fine as well. With these, eat 6 tomatoes. Drink more water for cleaning up the uric acid you would produce.
Day # 6
Eat beef and vegetables as much as possible to your heart’s content.
Day # 7
It is the last day of your diet. Eat brown rice, fruit juices and all kinds of vegetables.
*GM’s Special Soup (from day # 4):
The soup is a diet supplement. Drink the soup in large quantities. It can be taken at any time of the day.
Ingredients:
28 oz Water
6 nos. large onions
2 Capsicum
Few fresh tomatoes
1 cabbage
4 envelopes onion soup mix (optional)
Salt and pepper
Method:
- Sauté chopped onion in vinegar and olive oil till golden brown.
- Add chopped capsicum to it and fry.
- Put chopped tomatoes and water to it.
- Bring it to boil.
- Cut cabbage and add it to the remaining vegetables.
- Put the lid and let it cook.
- Put salt and pepper to taste.
- Keep stirring the soup till the vegetables become tender.
- Have it piping hot.
You can also add Onion soup mix, if you like.
