Here is a good news for the average Americans who devour 46 slices a year. By birth, most of the Americans seem to have an inclination towards pizzas. So, the good news is pizza also has some health benefits as recent studies suggest.

According to recent survey done in Italy by a group of researchers, it is found that the people who ate pizza at its maximum had the fewest reports of cancer. The study suggests that regular pizza-eaters are 59 % less prone to develop cancer in the esophagus, and 26 % are less prone to have cancer in the colon.

Health Benefits of Pizza

Basically, pizzas are rich in antioxidants in general. Antioxidants are such substances which can prevent cells from being damaged. According to some experts, this substance can reduce the risk of heart disease, cancer and some other ailments.

According to the research studies, the levels of antioxidants rise by up to 60% if it gets baked for long time.
